Please communicate all inquiries in writing to vdoe.cte@doe.virginia.gov.

22:40
Is this also required for students who are 18?

23:04
No. Only those under 18.

23:10
Has this new information/requirements been communicated with Pharmacies/Pharmacists?

24:32
Is this effective immediately? For example, I have students already placed in pharmacies. Do we need to back up and do this?

25:00
Is this required if a student is fulfilling their hours via a paid position (i.e are technically an employee of the pharmacy)

25:03
As per the original application that was shown, it states that the student is "certified" to perform the clinical experience. Does that mean they've received their pharmacy technician certification license?

25:14
What is the timeline for having all of the forms completed? In other words, if we already have 16/17 yr olds earning clinical hours in a pharmacy, do we have to pull them from this experience?

25:28
Is there a cost associated with the JRR? And, what is the typical turn around time to receive the JRR results?

26:26
Please share the contact for Zahra Qarni

26:34
My students started their rotations on November 1st. Do I need to pull them off their rotations until this is completed, or can they continue the rotation while we do this?

26:50
Can the Program Director use a WBL designee such as the Work Based Coordinator to initiate the process?

27:00
How does this new process affect the students hours in the externship in order to meet ASHP accreditation?

28:15
Does this "experiential" lab have to be done IN a pharmacy or do labs in the classroom count as that also, done with a certified pharmacy technician?

28:23
I have many that are 18 , some may have tuned 18 this month and started store hours last month. If a student is 18 how can we go back if we are just now being told this process?

Here in Chesterfield County – we are having a difficult time identifying pharmacies to offer WBL experiences for students under 18. Anyone willing to offer up their pharmacies who are working with students under 18?? 😊 chad_maclin@ccpsnet.net

31:25
Walgreens

31:53
Hey Kristin….our walgreens is saying 18 and up only.

32:18
What is the timeline for the DocuSign information to be released to us? May we place students in the interim?

32:28
Interesting...I'm sorry

33:14
My biggest problem is that we do not have a pharmacy to go to yet. They are dragging their feet by approving us to be there. But how is it possible to get 130 hours within 5 months? What's your advice on this?

33:27
Can the workplace training agreements that CPS utilized be used for right now

33:59
Do the student have to already have their trainee number to complete DocuSign or can we add it in later?

34:07
Per the document the Clinical Experience workplace ratio is listed as 1:1 - this will present challenges for getting externships for large groups. We currently have multiple students out at a time at specific facilities.

34:16
Is there any way for the school to see the path of the Docusign document and where it is at any given time?

34:31
For us, we are doing 4 hours twice a week for approximately 17 weeks. But this process is concerning as it is delaying the process. For my original plan, we need to start Jan 3 at the absolute latest.

34:48
Regarding, any FERPA requirements, where are the completed Docu Signed forms stored?

37:38
To be clear, we MAY place students 17 or older without the DocuSign and then complete the DocuSign once available.

37:47
Is the DocuSign the only form we have to have completed for them to report to their externship, or do we have to wait for the drug test and djj aslo.

38:23
How do they get that trainee number?

38:48
They apply through the DHP

39:40
If we are to provide a well rounded experience for the students, why does this form need to be signed again if we move them between facilities that we have established relationships with. For example if they are currently in a retail pharmacy and the student switches to hospital pharmacy later in the year

40:00
If you have more than 1 student assigned to a pharmacy, does an alternating schedule satisfy the 1:1 ratio?

40:18
As a follow-up regarding our vouching that a student is "certified", is that synonymous with our vouching that students have their "trainee number"

41:56
So we the program managers will get a copy once it is signed? Since we are the one creating correct.?

42:21
first of next year or first of next week?

45:42
Is a drug screening required or is that at the discretion of the partnering pharmacy?

46:20
Has Virginia brought in ASHP for a discussion about this? It seems like many of us are doing what we can to get accreditation and this is just another of several set-backs we have encountered over the last few years. Our school divisions are trying to meet the expectation of not only the DOLI but also ASHP... and it sounds like there has not be a discussion with all parties yet.

46:41
Will program managers be provided in writing the date of Jan 1 2023 to follow so we can show that to Dept of Labor that may be auditing our timesheets. Or whatever date it ends up being once the docusign is in place for us to use.

48:21
You just answered my question. Thanks

50:18
Thank you.

50:19
As a follow-up... we are to be accredited (VA law) and this is pausing one of the largest requirements of this process.

50:56
I am new to my role. How do I ensure I am receiving the CTE memos? Thanks

55:01
what if we have an MOA with our business partner's?

55:24
Anthony

58:33
Perfect! Thank you

58:44
The ASHP certification seems to be set up to for on-line based/new employees trainees at pharmacies. Has anyone discussed with the State Board of Pharmacy the real life challenges faced by public schools trying to fulfil these 130 hours? Possible probationary license upon graduation then a full license after 6 months on the job afterwards?
