My students started their rotations on November 1st. Do I need to pull them off their rotations until this is completed, or can they continue the rotation while we do this?

I have many that are 18 , some may have tuned 18 this month and started store hours last month. If a student is 18 how can we go back if we are just now being told this process?

My biggest problem is that we do not have a pharmacy to go to yet. They are dragging their feet by approving us to be there. But how is it possible to get 130 hours within 5 months? What's your advice on this?

Per the document the Clinical Experience workplace ratio is listed as 1:1 - this will present challenges for getting externships for large groups. We currently have multiple students out at a time at specific facilities.

Is there any way for the school to see the path of the Docusign document and where it is at any given time?

For us, we are doing 4 hours twice a week for approximately 17 weeks. But this process is concerning as it is delaying the process. For my original plan, we need to start Jan 3 at the absolute latest.

To be clear, we MAY place students 17 or older without the DocuSign and then complete the DocuSign once available.

If we are to provide a well rounded experience for the students, why does this form need to be signed again if we move them between facilities that we have established relationships with. For example if they are currently in a retail pharmacy and the student switches to hospital pharmacy later in the year

If you have more than 1 student assigned to a pharmacy, does an alternating schedule satisfy the 1:1 ratio?

Has Virginia brought in ASHP for a discussion about this? It seems like many of us are doing what we can to get accreditation and this is just another of several set-backs we have encountered over the last few years. Our school divisions are trying to meet the expectation of not only the DOLI but also ASHP... and it sounds like there has not be a discussion with all parties yet.

Will program managers be provided in writing the date of Jan 1 2023 to follow so we can show that to Dept of Labor that may be auditing our timesheets. Or whatever date it ends up being once the docusign is in place for us to use.

The ASHP certification seems to be set up to for on-line based/new employees trainees at pharmacies. Has anyone discussed with the State Board of Pharmacy the real life challenges faced by public schools trying to fulfil these 130 hours? Possible probationary license upon graduation then a full license after 6 months on the job afterwards?
